Using postcards and archival footage as a “possible future” and “false memories of the past”, this namesake piece attempts to capture the uncanny recognition of many realities experienced physically, through dreams, and deja vu. Haynes asks those close to them to also become storytellers and narrators, but can they all be trusted to tell the whole truth? Don’t we all create stories to protect ourselves?
